Very seldom that we see starfish along the shore and I think that was the first time in her 8 years my daughter saw one in person like 2 weeks ago. We were so delighted to see not just one but 5 in different locations! Yuri was scared to touched it. I grabbed one and check if it's still alive and yeah, its tiny tube feet were still moving so after some clicks I let her go and waited until she find her way back to the water. Three days straight that we encountered starfishes along the shore. After that, we barely see one again. The other day, I saw a vlog about a Philippine actor who have been bashed because he took photos of starfishes in his body. But they replied that they returned them at the sea safely and alive:)

I'm wondering how they move. Like, where is the head? I guess they just sidle along.

How great that you and your daughter saw starfish! It's important to remember that they are best left in their natural environment, so if you do decide to touch them, make sure they remain alive and are returned back to the sea.

Yap, I always keep that in mind. They are too delicate when touched
