We have to travel by train to my sons job place after a few months. As we have a pet dog we need either a first class coup or a first class cabin. My son did book a coup with two seats but the railway officials at the Rourkela railway station informed him that he may not be allotted a coup after boarding the train because of VIPs traveling with dogs. He may get two seats in the same cabin or different cabins where passengers may oppose keeping our pet dog with us. He advised him to shell out reserve the whole first class cabin. On top of that the official informed that all the first class cabins from Rourkela to Howrah had been freezed. Why the official had no idea. My son had to shell out Rs.8000 and book a ticket from Sambalpur to Howrah. Moreover when he canceled the ticket he had booked for a two seat coup, the IRTC returned only a little above Rs 2500 but had deducted Rs.3500 from his account while book. On the one hand inflation and on the other hand the government machinery cheating the public. The concession for senior citizens has been lifted. How much of pension are they paying to a retired government employee or a family pensioner? Senior citizens these days have different ailments. There they have to spend and railways the railways have made it difficult for them to travel comfortably as they have increased the prices of tickets.

That's so sad. Has your country turned out for the worst? I hope that people in your government would take measures to address your problems. A united front by the people using peaceful means would spur government officials to take action. Mass actions by the public would get the attention of the media and the world and this may prompt your leaders to do something about these issues.

The government officials are directed by the political heads in the railway to lure people and cheat them.
