i was chatting with a friend on viber a while ago. she's due to give birth to a baby boy in less than 2 months, so i asked if she's planning to have a baby shower or something. she said no, she isn't because they're pretty hard up. i remember holding a baby shower for my second daughter back in 2010. it was our first time to have one and a potluck at that. we were kind of tight during that time so we asked friends to come over and bring homecooked meals. i'm glad they agreed to do so. it was just a simple shower, no tarps or any decors. but i got to talk with friends and we received some baby gifts in advance. have you ever attended or organized a potluck baby shower?

I have never heard of doing a potluck one like you did for your daughter but think it’s so wonderful people came and celebrated with you.

I've never been to a baby shower before. It was thoughtful of your friends to join you and bring food.

You’ve got supportive friends there. If someone asked me, I would surely join
