Humberto hasn´t arrived from work.

I´m glad I called Dixie before putting the oeufs en cocotte in the oven. They take the time to heat the cooked spinach and soft boil the egg.
The chicken wings are on low simmering. If they come too late we´ll have crusty wings
But I don´t mind. Humberto works the most on Thursday mornings because he does not work after lunch. It was a Thursday when I arrived yelling with pain when Humbert o was taking a nap. He woke up immediatly, examined me, found nothing and decided to take me immediatly to his office to make an echography.
You won´t die, he said then, not now
. But in a few days I have an appointment with a gastroenterologist.
He is the sweetest guy ever

He is. But I accept it. He is the kind of doctor that when my granddaughter Carolina had a "pain" in one of her ovaries he told her to come ASAP. she was going to leave the country for a year the following week. He saw her, did the echography, found a good surgeon to get out a cyst in one of her ovaries immediatly so that she´d be ready to go away soon. I think that he made around 5 echographies for free to her. Of course we are like family, but he treats well all his patients.

@marguicha wow that is so amazing of him to do that for your granddaughter. Ovarian cysts are so painful. They usually go away during pregnancy but the kind I had didn’t. I’m hoping when they tied my tubes they cut it out but I’m not sure. Haven’t had any pain since though so I think they did.

@shaggin Carolina first went to a doctor that told her that her pills for no pregnancy would take care of it. Claudia told me because she was worried as Carolina would be on her own out of the country. I said that this is the time to ask for a second opinion and called Humberto. You know the rest. Humberto said that although some of them can "go away" other can even burst, so to say. Surgery was a must.

They borth are the best people I have ever known. Although Humberto tells me of Dixie that I don´t know the dark side of the Force. And Dixie says that sometimes Humberto behaves like a scorpion I am blessed to have them both.

He arrived soon. Dixie and I ate reasonably. He liked the wings so much that I gave them the leftover wings to take home. Doggy bag, I thought.

And he is a most generous man. I apreciate generosity above all other qualities. And I don´t mean giving money. He gives his time, he cares about people.

Dixie and I ate a couple but Humberto ate so many that dixie was shocked I told her to let him eat.
