Would you take Language lessons from an AI program?

I fear that language teaching is going the way of the Dodo bird. One one of the sites that I work on there is a bar across the top that is advertising Free AI English lessons. I think that many students will opt for this option instead of ordering lessons with a real person. It is a fact of modern life that machines will encroach upon the work of real people. What do you think? Would you take Language lessons from an AI program?

I appreciate your feedback, I wrote to the administrators of the site and told them that I thought their idea would drive the teachers from the site, as there wouldn't be as much work for them, but it is heartening to hear that people from China would still like to have real human teachers.

I've used Duolingo but that's not an AI programme as far as I know.

@lifecoachjerusalem That's a shame but everyone has their own preferences.

Did you like Duolingo? I didn't. I feel that if I make my own flashcards I can learn the words faster.

I may learn a bit from the language application but not for taking standard exam. I still prefer real person because I like to converse and ask for example when learning language.

I think that maybe taking exams with AI might be ok, it might adjust the questions to be harder or easier as the person might need it.

I agree that the use of artificial intelligence in language learning may become more common in the future. However, I believe that lessons with a real person cannot be completely replaced by AI programs. The human factor in language learning is very important, as it helps learners to develop confidence in their skills and improve their communication abilities. In addition, communicating with a real teacher allows students to receive individual help and support. I would choose lessons with a real person.

I agree with you and I hope that your attitude will become commonplace as people see value in real human teachers.
