I'm working a world building for one of my books that I'm writing. This is one of the parts about writing books that scares me and thrills me at the same time. I have to take a lot of notes. So, I spend a hour trying to write a small part of the first chapter of paranormal asylum breakout, revenge story. Working on this so it can be done for October which I have a good amount of time for.

Thank you! I had to have my husband come up with a name for the places. The people that go there call it Hell. I did spend time a few days back looking up things that would be uncommon ways to harm vampires and came a gross two that was perfect.

Years ago I wrote a short story that involved a Victorian house. I put in a lot of time researching the names of building parts. The house was as much a character as the people. Good luck with your writing work.

Yes some's times places take on their own personality and you got to make it real so naming it or putting certain details in it makes it more real for people. I do that all of the time. Like in one story I right about the way the apartment looks, as well as the future. In one I wrote my fair like restaurant went into great details down to color of flowers.

It is intense work and not everyone can write like this. Its good you are timing it for the Halloween season.

It only intense if you make it so and it comes down to a writer's style and process. Independ writers are more flexible because we can do as we like without the okay of a publishing company.

@RebeccasFarm yes, I prefer it that way especially with my being a mom. I don't feel the pressure to fit someone else timeline and I can fix or change my own timelines because I do soft dates till, I'm very sure I'm ready for my book to be out. I can also do my own teasers online for marking as well as finding new readers.
