What are dreams for?

Got a crazy dream tonight which suddenly wakes me up to the point of writing this. It was like a horror movie dream. A movie like "Scream" but the one that hunting us was a ghost, killing us one by one to the point that I was killed by that entity and the funny thing or ender was that I become a ghost too who turns out to be killing people also like the cursed was being transferred to me. I wake up and my heart is heavily pumping and feels like I needed to relax so I turn on my laptop to share my experience about the crazy dream. I just wonder what is the used of dreams? Why are we dreaming? What are dreams for really? What is your thought about dreams?

Some dream could be precognitive. Generally it's an aftermath of what we've done and watched that is still in our subconscious. Had you watched any horror movie lately?

I think dreams is our subconscious trying to tell us something. Sometimes we get a glimmer of what that is. I used to have horrible dreams such as yours but I haven’t had any in a long time. Bad dreams are really frightening.

Sometimes it's worry or stress or eating pork before you go to sleep. Did you eat pork before you went to sleep?

What we think or see remains in our minds and when we sleep few things we see as dreams as our subconscious brain works even we are asleep. The dreams have no meaning.
