A Way to Reach Peace of Mind

Buddha was an enlightened being. I take away so much from his teachings. He has said: "You live most of your life inside your head. Make sure it's a nice place to be." We can clear out the cobwebs with meditation. We can get rid of the bad feelings, even some of the worst memories with some constant mental affirmation. We can do almost anything we set out to do with some determination and consistency. Don't let bad feelings or heavy burdens take over. Be of goodwill and treat others with respect. Life is short. We certainly don't need to live with negativity in it. Set realistic goals and always keep to a definite course. Don't let people into your life who are users and that bring a lot of negative baggage. If you get negative vibes go with them. Bad feelings are there for a reason. Om Mani Padme Hum("the jewel is in the lotus") is the pure embodiment of compassion and love. It is a mantra used in their meditation. It remains a very powerful practice among those Tibetan who is also of the Buddism belief. It offers peace of mind and success, also many other positive things. It prevents any destructive emotions like jealousy, greed, or pride. It offers peace of mind.

We can do a lot worse than follow the teaching of Buddha. His beliefs were sound.

@celticeagle We know worrying doesn’t help our problems but it’s impossible not to worry. It takes a lot of work to get to that point.

More of us should allow a little Buddism into our lives, to prevent the destruction emotions and also to learn to mediate and relax.

Buddhism makes more sense to me than almost any other religion. I find the idea of reincarnation, of successive lives where we keep learning very appealing.

I so agree. I am not a Christian and really enjoy reading about other beliefs. This one makes so much more sense. I agree about reincarnation.
