So, yesterday we went to the big Tesco again.
We did the usual things. Went up on the lift.
First thing I did was look for a Leisure Painter magazine, but I couldn't find one! I was very disappointed! Also, there was no prawn layered salad, and I was disappointed about that too! There wasn't even my second choice, a Salmon pasta bowl. So I got something completely different instead. I forget what it was called, and I can't go and check on the packaging because that's already gone in the recycle and the recycle bin man has already been and collected it! But it was like little pillow things stuffed with vegetables and tofu. There were 3 of them in a pack.
Mum didn't need any pads so we went straight to the fruit and vegetable section. I got the usual, and Mum got lettuce, mini cucumbers and strawberries. We then went and got some pears and apples. Then we went down the other isle where the cabbage is, and I kept my eyes open for some kale. And I found some! It's organic curly kale and I can't wait to try it tomorrow night!
We got the usual stuff, stuff for Mum's dinners, stuff for my step-dad from the canned section. I couldn't get any puddings for Sunday again so I'll use one of my peach yoghurts as a pudding. I did manage to get my chilli prawns. We got bread, buns, hot cross buns and cakes.
When we were by the milk section we saw Julie who leads the house group that Mum goes to. Mum told her she'd only just started but she was worn out already! She said, see you tonight.
After we'd finished at the cake section Mum wanted bourbon biscuits for my step-dad, and nuts, and I wanted Matcha Green T-bags. So I went down the tea and biscuit isle, got the bourbons, got my Matcha Green T-bags, got some honey roasted peanuts and mixed nuts and went to find my Mum. I couldn't see her anywhere, so I went to see if she was still on the cake isle, but no, she wasn't there. I thought, I've lost my mother! Then I saw her heading for the frozen section! I caught up with her and said, Mother, where are you going? She said, looking for you, where did you go? I said, down the tea and biscuit isle! I showed her what I'd got and she approved.
Then we went down the cereal isle to get some Bitesize Shredded Wheat for my step-dad and some porridge oats for me.
Then we went to get some Easter Eggs for the twins and Dave and Ali. I saw some dinosaur smartie Easter Eggs, and I thought they would be great for the twins. So I took one of them and slowly put it in the trolley while looking at my Mum! She said, OK, looks like you've chosen the ones for them. Then we got a Lindt chocolate Easter Egg for Dave and Ali to share between them. The kids ones cost £3.50 each with club card, and Dave and Ali's one cost £6.50.
Then we went to the frozen section and got some stuff from there including my cauliflower bites.
Then I went and got some laundry products and then we went to pay. It was a nice young lad who served me. It came to just over £108!
It was just 4:10pm when I went and sat on a bench with my Mum. I gave her her change, and then Tony Cartmail came up and started talking to us! After he'd gone I went and swapped my book at the Tesco book swap. Then we went down on the lift.
When we got into the undercover car park my step-dad still wasn't there yet, so I sat on a bench, but before my Mum could sit down, my step-dad came, and we put the bags of groceries in the boot and went home.
When we got home I unpacked the groceries, and put my pillow things in the microwave for 60 seconds. It said on it to cook them for 50 seconds in a 90 watt microwave, but ours is an 80 watt so I put it on for an extra 10 seconds to make up for that. They were a bit hot to start with, but they were delicious, and if I can't get a prawn layered salad again, and I see those, I'll get them again.
My Mum went off to the house group while I was washing up, so I waited till I'd finished washing up, then I locked the door behind them.
What have you been up to?
I hope you are all well.
Have a nice day.

Sounds like it was a fruitful trip to Tesco.
Currently at work now. Half-way through my shift.

I hope you enjoy yourself at the library. I hope you got everything you wanted from the shop. I don't blame you for not wanting to do groceries on a weekend. Weekends are for resting!

@Adie04 Yes, I understand where you are coming from. I'm not keen on large crowds either.
Well, some people have to go shopping on a weekend if they're working all week. But I agree, I don't like it when it's overcrowded.

@sharonelton I agree with you! Not just for resting, but I don't want to go through the hassle to going through an overcrowded place with people!
Because some people's minds: Weekends = go shopping

Thank you very much. I'm actually stuck in a rut and a bit bored. I need to do something about that.

@RebeccasFarm Well, I've found an Art course but that's in Wall and the taxi fairs would be really expensive. £12 each way 1 day a week for 14 weeks. I'll have to get some money out! Other than that I don't know. It'd need to be one where my Mum and step-dad don't go so not the luncheon club that they go to.
