The livestock rearing in countryside is done without skills.

While farming with respect to different crops in Bengal requires skills the livestock rearing does not require skill. For example to grow brinjals, ladies fingers is different from growing cabbages and cauliflowers. But for rearing goats, chickens, cows it is just love for the animals which is enough. It adds the income in the households.

Raising animals also takes some skills. You have to treat them well and make sure they get enough to eat, just like raising kids.

@sathviksouvik That's very true. I was born and raised on a working farm. We raised lots of different animals and plants on the farm... There were differences for each type.

@DaddyEvil thanks even extracting milk from cows or buffaloes is skill. If the cows get hurt they will give kicks

That's true, in the countryside where I once lived, every family had chickens and pigs and these are where eggs. and meat comes from their daily subsistence. There are also lots of cows and carabaos. But in the city right now, these are all not allowed, so people only do it in the suburbs where they can breed a lot.

During our recent trip, we saw people having lots of goats in the countryside areas and areas near the railway tracks in the foothills areas of Uttarakhand.
In Himalayas, people have goats as well as sheeps in many places.
But those who keep better care of their animals get more benefits as well.

Raising animals is a lot of fun when you enjoy what you are doing.

Goats are great animals.
The goat meat tastes really good as does goats milk.
