Zafran or Kesar is lovely spice which is expensive but adds taste in food.

We have a small amount of saffron in our spice cupboard but never use it. Pretty bought it so we could taste it and see if we wanted to use it in our food. She didn't like the taste so we don't use it. *shrug*

thanks DE but you used it in which food? Because the use of the spice is related to specific food. I will give you an example. Black pepper powder adds taste in an omelette.
