The bumble bee

We had these bumble bees flying around but they are not seen here these days. I put on my thinking cap and tried to understand why they have disappeared. I think I have the answer. We had this blue trumpet vine that had invaded our whole garden and for years we have struggled to get rid of it. We do not have that vine that produced pretty flowers no doubt but they just grabbed anything and everything they could climb on to. The bumble bee only liked these flowers and in their absence obviously they have no interest to be around here. Just as we human beings have choices when it comes to food I think they too have choices. What is your favourite food?

You must be regularly cooking your favourite dish. And hopefully your husband would also be liking it

I would have retained that vine if they restricted their invasion

it's true they could have come just for their favourite flowers. Or they could be part of the worldwide decline in insects generally due to use of pesticides.

Here we do not use pesticides and I am sure if I re-introduce the blue trumpet vine I am sure to see them again.

I noticed that the bees here like more yellow flowers, while the wasps seems to like the blue flowers of the rosemary. I do not have one favourite food.

@allknowing I have made my own but it is cheaper to buy one since I only eat 1-2 slices.

I usually don't have a favourite food, as long as I can eat and live

I really do not have a favorite food, as long as it is not spicy and yummy, I can eat that
