Week 8 at Goodwill (Two Months)

Last week, I've reached the two month milestone in my onboarding training at Goodwill. Though I've reached the two bin goal once, I hope to do it again this week, or come even close to it, like I did last week. With the name cards, I started out with five, a few weeks ago. And now I only have three, while one other processor has two and another has five, though she only gets two carts done during her shift. I hope to get to four carts, and crank up the speed a tiny bit between this week and the end of April. But if not, three filled pre-sorted laundry carts are good enough for me. And maybe within time, I'll get trained as a processor or cross-trained as a cashier upstairs. Though I haven't heard back from Summit DD yet, Danielle did text me last week to find out if I did. I said nothing yet since it's been a week since she turned it in. She has the paperwork when I re-applied for the new referral. I don't have the copies to send it out via mail like I did last year. So hopefully Danielle's email will work like a charm. There's still three weeks left until we'll hear back in mid-April around April 18th. And maybe around that time, she would request additional time from Jamie. This Wednesday, Danielle will be checking in with me during work. Here's how I did last week at Goodwill: Last Sunday, I did recovery for 20 minutes and then finished my Good Academy e-training with a final class. It took about 15 minutes. I only cleared 1.25 bins. A little bit better than the one bins I cleared two weeks ago. It became a bit busier with more donations. Last Tuesday, I came a bit closer and did a bit better by clearing 1.70 bins. And this was as good as it gets. Last Wednesday, I only managed to clear 1.50 bins, which was fairly average on another busy day. Last Thursday, once again, I came closer and picked up steam by hitting the 1.70 mark again. My goal to start week 9 at work tomorrow is to hit 2 bins and get closer to 2.35 bins on Saturday to close out the week. I hope I can do it and manage to get closer to three bins by mid-to-late April. That's about it on my end. I'll check in with everyone tomorrow after work. Wish me luck!
