A welcome change on the canal is the stairs. Before, when it was muddy, you would take two steps up and slide back one and sometimes need to go up on all fours! Now there is much surer footing and a handy ramp, on the left hand side, so that you can wheel your bike alongside fairly easily.
The old cottage I have known since I was a youngster has finally succumbed to elements and the roof has collapsed with the, very wet and windy, winter storms. I think the brick walls will survive for a while longer, unless the landowner has plans for it. One thing, if a building has no roof, I do believe you don’t have to pay a property tax on it!
Lastly a guitar hanging from a tree. No idea why, but not all the strings are there, so maybe it was damaged or someone just gave up trying to be a guitar hero. It has since disappeared, so it could be that there is a musical fox out there!

Those steps certainly look a good idea. On some of our regularly travelled roads, we pass a couple of old sheds that are gradually leaning over more and more. One day they'll succumb to gravity and hit the ground. Do you like the photo? We were told the bike wouldn't start one day so the farmer hauled it up the tree. lol
