Poor Kids Today

I was thinking(yah, headache ensued) and wondering how much stress can a poor kid today take? They come to school and have the teacher have them do weird assignments) and stuff. Other kids can be so mean if they are the least bit different. And, on top of that, they have books that have been a mainstay and calming effect on them at home and become some big fiasco they don't get to enjoy at school any longer. Only edited and changed ones are available with them probably leaving a lot of questions. And, on top of that, strangers are coming into their schools loading down with rifles, handguns, and who knows what all and are killing their friends. What a hellacious way to grow up.
Your thoughts.

It is a shame that young children are being brainwashed that their life is not wonderful.

@celticeagle No since young children are not of age to understand the basics of life.

@Deepizzaguy .........But hiding things from them does it's own form of damage.

I would hate to go to school these days. Bullying, peer pressure, shootings.

Yes, the bullying and peer pressure is enough without watching a friend shot or yourself.

I went to grade school in a good neighborhood in the 1960s. I was a shy kid. If I was a kid today I would not leave the house and tell my parents they have to homeschool me, I would be terrified,

Same here. I was just commenting to my daughter that I wonder how many families have begun homeschooling their kids that weren't before. I bet there will be a large amount.
