I know they are getting bad rep but what would we do without them. I am taking medications for my skin conditioned that has worsened. I am glad I was able to talk myself in going to the doctor today. When problems are piling on top of each other is when I lose it sometimes. There is no running water in the faucet since early morning. Dishes have piled up because the skin condition has left my fingers wounded and in pain. The doctor has asked me to avoid chicken, eggs and canned goods. I thought there need to be an allergy test to determine this. But maybe those are universal culprits for flare ups. Now at 11 am I am happier. I had a nice lunch. I also was able to buy some fruits.

I hope you find some relief. What is your skin condition called? My husband and my daughter both have sensitive skin so I regulate their intake of chicken, eggs, seafood and processed foods. In my husband's case, his fingers also get itchy when he's stressed or when he's used too much laundry detergent/dishwashing liquid.

I wonder if it is the dishwashign liquid. I have been doing almost all of the dishwashing. My skin condition is eczema or atopic dermatitis.

@yoalldudes that's exactly what my husband has. apparently it's also because of the harsh chemicals in dishwashing liquid and laundry detergent. have you been prescribed topical steroids?

I hope you get fully well soon. Skin conditions are irritating and often painful. I once had a skin allergy too which I could not find the cause of. So, I one by one eliminated the things/substances I used on my skin, and I discovered it was the wet wipes that I was using. So, for now, I stopped using it and I no longer have those skin rashes, itchiness, and pain.

Wow you are very observant. I cant figure out what triggered mine although I have been eating poorly and using hygiene products with fragrance and chemicals. I dont know or maybe stress.

"Canned goods" isn't something that normally cause reactions. Something in canned goods might cause problems, like apples or fish... but canned goods is generic and could be anything. But you don't normally buy canned goods, anyway, so you should be okay there. I hope you feel better quickly.

I buy canned goods to just stock them up. Maybe this is accumulated bad habits that have just manifested.

I hope your skin condition has improved. Here in the States we would test for allergies.

That is what I should be doing too but I feel like it is painful and expensive. But one day I might, but I hope not yet.

Nuts and seafoods as well. I use Triderm for allergies and I use hydrocortisone for itching. Both have been proven to be very effective.
