Marine rescue groups rescue a manatee trapped in a crab trap in Florida

Thanks to the teamwork of the Florida Fish And Wildlife Conservation Commission and the Brevard Zoo and Sea World officials who answered an emergency call from an eyewitness who saw a manatee entangled in a crab trap off of the coast in Cocoa Florida a few days ago. A spokesperson for the Florida Fish And Wildlife Conservation Commission mentioned that the manatee was successfully rescued. The manatee was taken by the marine groups to the Jacksonville Zoo to be taken care of after the incident in the ocean so it can be released back to his home after the manatee gets healed. More heroes to the rescue. I am glad that they were able to get the manatee out safely and they he is recovering from his ordeal.

I had to look up what a manatee looks like and how big crab traps are. They're listed as endangered, glad it was saved.

I'm so glad the manatee was rescued. I saw my first manatee in the Florida Everglades many years ago.

I have never seen manatees in person but I sure love seeing these creatures, I am glad this got rescued,
