Due to the enormous amount of precipitation in California, the snowpack is the biggest ever, tying with the amount for 1952. Despite the trouble the weather has caused, the water was much needed.Mount Hamilton is supposed to have some snow showers tonight. Formerly, the drought was the big news. What, if any, unusual weather do you have in your area.

California has really been getting hit hard this year. I know it is needed badly. I hope it all works out for the best and you get the water that you need.

I know. It would have been bad if there was no rain.

@velvet53 yes. We are safe. We dont live in the mountains. We can see the snow if it is there.

I hope you keep getting snow on the heights and it melts slow enough to help California with the drought.

I am happy that your state has gotten that much snow, as you are normally in a drought. But I am sorry that it came all at once, instead of steady over years.

Well, technically drought is not normal. It did take a lot of extra rain to dissipate drought conditions.

I like snow but I live in the valley rather than the mountains. I can see snow when it is on the east foothills or Santa Cruz mountains.

The unusual weather in my area is that it has rained the whole day. This is something I have never experienced.
