Warmest Day of Vacation Yet

The panoramic photo of the lake was taken Sunday after the rain stopped but before all the runoff drove the lake levels higher. Today has been a beautiful day - sunny, warm, with a light breeze, perfect. K, Sophie, and I went for a 3+ mile/4.8 km round-trip hike through the woods along the lake to the boat launch this morning before it got too hot. We didn't spot much wildlife, though we did see some deer tracks. The lake level is still high. The walkway from the ramp out to the boat dock was partially underwater. I took lots of pictures with the "big" camera, but haven't downloaded them to the computer yet. I'll share some of the better ones when I do. This afternoon, we are relaxing in our screen house with the fan on and wind curtains open. Even though the temp has reached 81F/25C, we are comfortable here in the shade. K grilled turkey hot dogs for lunch and we just finished some apple slices as our mid-afternoon snack. We may be going off-camp for supper tonight. There's a BBQ joint about 8 miles from here that we want to try. How was/is your Thursday?
