Continuing from my previous post.
Inside the zoo, we were only partially saved from the rain.
My socks and shoes had got wet. But J had no scope to change!
The Mountain rains even in technically Spring or Autumn are much different from those in the plains.
The temperatures drop more and the winds feel more chilly even at 10 to 11 C !!
(Wind chill factor make it feel like 5 to 7 C).
The rains continued for 20 odd minutes or perhaps a little longer.
When they stopped, we all started marching upwards again.
We again went and saw the majestic tiger in detail.
However, light drizzling started again.
Now was the time for a tough decision.
Either we go forward to view other animals but with tired bodies and being partially wet and having just one umbrella among 4 posed wetting risk.
Plus I had thoughts that what if we get very wet and catch pneumonia or get breathless? And we had kids too !!
The other option was to move back but miss out on seeing other animals.
Life sometimes gives us such questions that test our emotions, judgement and brains.
With heavy hearts, we decided to forego and move back and descend.
Later on, our decision proved better.
The rains again turned to a heavy downpour.
We had to halt at a Canteen at the Zoo with Tent like structure.
Cold winds and crowds both were there.
I clicked a few pictures.
We had Maggi Noodles and Momos.
We ate them very hot as we were very cold and hungry.
I can't eat at such speeds normally !
The folks preparing snacks, food and Tea/Coffee were having a tough time.
And I saw a few folks without even a Sweater!
They must have been chilled to their bones with such cold winds.
At last, good sunshine came and it was time to bid adieu to the Zoo.
A shortened visit but may be we could again have a chance to visit !
..... To be continued....

Too bad the rains shortened your visit, I hope you have another time to visit when the sun is shining,

@RasmaSandra
Well, that could be a long time away.
But yes, we had to take the decision of not going further.

Yes, plus steep slope to cope up with so we had to take a hard decision.

Rains have a way of putting a damper on things unfortunately.

Yes and as a general trend, it came at
a time when this place Nainital normally has a dry weather.
So well, we have to accept and cope up.

Yet it was a challenge as well and a big learning too !!
Well next time we might go in the summer time!
Or carry extra pair of socks and shoes.
And perhaps carry a rain coat sort of stuff to such a place.

@RubyHawk
The place is far from our place so a trip has to be planned again but not something that can be done quickly.

It would depend upon a lot of factors !
