If you are a fan of animated movies, and like super mario games, then you would probably love this movie.
I have to say I wasn't sure what to think of the movie going into it, but I liked it a lot. It was very cute, and very entertaining.
I won't give too much away, but in the movie the super mario brothers - Mario and Luigi were on one of their adventures (I guess you could say) and they ended up getting separated. So the movie had a lot to do with them finding their way back together. It involved some other important characters - like Princess Peach, Toad, and Bowser.
I really liked some of the voice actors for the characters - especially Jack Black for the voice of Bowser. I think he played the part perfectly.
I can see after watching the movie, why it was sold out the first night we tried to go (even though it's been out for over a week already in theaters).

Sounds like a good plan. I saw it on the Roku, but they want $30.

@MommyOfEli2013 I tried playing the game many years ago when my youngest was in the hospital. He laughed at my inability to play the game. He's a true gamer. I don't do well with the video game controller.

@just4him That's good you tried to play it....I never really had video games growing up. However I played super mario bros on the Wii as an adult lol

I love it. The game is a different experience, but the movie gives out a lot of nice touches.

I saw it and I actually loved it. I have been a mario fan since I was a small child and was super disappointed that Charles Martinet didnt play Mario but it makes sense that he didnt lack of experience in such a huge scale project. With that said Chris Pratt actually filled Marios boots quite well.

I didn't know who that was, had to look him up... but I think Chris Pratt did pretty good at being Mario. But maybe that is just because I am a fan of some of his other work.

@Fa_Maverick I am not a major fan of him, just have liked a few things that he was in lol. I was glad to see Jack Black in it too...he seemed perfect for Bowser

I'm glad you were finally able to get tickets. I haven't seen it. Not my kind of movie.

Sorry it is not your kind of movie... usually animated ones aren't my kind either but this one was really good.
