Biryani as most of you know is made from Basmati rice which has a flavour that adds to the taste of Biryani. There is a plant that is known as biryani leaf which when added to the ordinary rice gives the same flavour as basmati rice. However, it is not just the flavour, basmati rice has other properties such as its length which no other rice is known to have. I have always preferred to use basmati rice as while the leaf gives that flavour a discerning person will know that biryani thus prepared will never taste the same as biryani made from basmati rice Would you prefer the original falvour or flavour created by using the biyani leaf? Needless to say that the ordinary rice is far cheaper than basmati rice. .

In my country we called it pandan. That leaves make the rice taste goods and also its smell.

I haven't tasted the rice with biryani leaves, but I assume I would like more basmati rice because it is the original recipe, and the rice is uncommon here.

Heard about this special leaf, but always doubted about its efficacy. Biriyani is such a delicacy and created with so many flavorful ingredients that it is difficult for a leaf to mimic all those flavors.

I was always intrigued by the Biryani recipe. I often watch people eating and buying Biryani dish on youtube. sometimes people are in long line just to buy Biryani. I have not tried it yet. So could you explain the taste? the aroma? and how delicious it really is?
