The heat is doing wonders to the bougainvillea

They did not bloom till late November as their usual time is around September but due to unseasonal rains they stayed dormant and added more leaves instead of flowers but the current intense heat seems is helping them. This is the red bougainvillea that has decorated our cashew trees in leaps and bounds. Our cashew tree now has many colours - purple, red and white. And it has also started yielding. In all it is a win win situation for the garden but we human beings have to go through this heat. The sheaf behind the twigs could ideally be used as a bridal bouquet for a bride that has a fascination for the red colour

In my city it is quite suitable for the bougainvillea to grow. A few weeks ago the bougainvillea blossom was quite beautiful here.

@allknowing Then it is a bit different here. When it is in the blossom time, they will bloom anyway

Such a wonderful sight. Yes, it would be good as a bridal bouquet. I rarely see bougainvillea plants here. People have roses in their gardens.

This is a very lovely shot. Bouganvillea is very pretty. It's a shame it is so thorny.

Bougainvilleas, they thrive in the sun. More sun= more blooms.
