Short story: A Sufi master talks about the concept of eternity

The Sufi master, Huiako Zumel, was talking to some students of his about eternity.
He said that, when we can see eternity exactly as it is, we are seeing through the eyes of God then, and we do this by our living our lives as much as we can in present time.
By living in this now, we keep our eyes fully open, and so we see through all as God sees, through the love in our heart, not just through the empty speculations of our minds.
When we live like this, there are no graduations in people.
There is no separated instance of the greatest amongst us. Love brings all to the equality of their greatness, within the oneness that is God.
The present moment is full of eternity too, and no other moment is so.
Eternity is actively alive now, not in some future time.
We should never just try to empty our mind through meditation, (on its own) but more endeavour to open our hearts, through right loving.
When we love rightly, we see God behind that loving, but if we just empty our minds, we have usually emptied our hearts too, as we have put our mind first then, instead of our hearts.
Put your heart first, and do not worry so much about the mind. It will tag along serving you then, rather than trying to rule your life for you.
We are never meant to be empty of love. When love fills us, we are full then of God too.
Eternity is the timelessness of love, fully alive in you, and God, at the same time.
This is also describing here the oneness of God, and his love.

Oneness is when eternity meets you via love.

How do you come up with such deep thoughts? It's my first time reading that "eternity is now" concept. May I ask if you are a priest, guru, or preacher? You seem to be teeming with this profound thinking. "We are never meant to be empty of love".
I think if more people listen to your words, I would assume that this world would be a better place to live in. Thank you for sharing your valuable and enlightening thoughts.

Thanks, for your appreciation of my writing.
When I write "for" someone else, pretending that they are a master, it gives me confidence to say exactly what I want to say, for who could argue with me, for it is a mere story, and the thoughts are of my character, not of me...lol...
I am just an ordinary guy, that has had an interest in spiritual fields, for more than forty years now. I do like to think deeply though.

@innertalks But your stories make one ponder on the deeper meanings. Keep doing what you do best. - right, just being an ordinary guy.

@Jenaisle Yes, I will do so, because I like to write these types of tales, and give people something to think about too.

I do believe eternity sits just a one level as if on another floor from us.

Yes, some think eternity exists in another dimension, separated by time, as time either doesn't exist there, or runs differently than here.

Yes, I agree.
We should not ever try to push love aside, and embrace something else instead of it, like meditation, on its own. We can meditate, but keep our hearts open to love too.
Prayer also achieves for us this opening of our heart, when we pray with a sincere heart, and from the love in our heart towards God.

When we love as God does, then we experience the oneness of humanity while upholding the uniqueness in each of us.
Everyone plays an integral part and any discordant note is soon won over than despised and frowned upon.
The world now cries out for lost love or our inability to live in love as we are easily overwhelmed by hatred, suspicion, and division.
We must put our heart and soul into our effort to catch up on lost time. Live the present as that is the best present presented to us. Involve our creator in our thoughts and actions and then we are right up there in our ideal way of living. No time to lose.

My reply was lost yesterday, somehow. I do not remember what I wrote..lol...
God has all of the time in the world, but we must use our time as available to us, in this lifetime.
God is the teacher, behind all else though, so if we mess up, he might just change his teaching methods, as he has done before.
In the end, we must all learn the rules, and play the game, according to the rules, without thwarting them, in any way.
Love shows us the ropes of life, without our being tied up by them.

@Shiva49 Yes, and if we are lucky, we might be dealt an extra card, or two, as we go along too.
The Christian Bible says that if we make good with the talents given to us, we will be given more then to work with too.

@innertalks Yes, belief in the omnipotent is the basic for our finding meaning in our existence.
We are dealt some cards and we should accept them in good grace than resort to griping.

I agree, I use meditation to talk to, and to listen to God too.
We will not improve, if we only listen to the sounds of ourselves dozing off, mouthing off, or sporting forth, with a froth and bubble of ideas, and schemes of our own, not worth their salt.
