Yoga

Yoga has spreads its wings far and wide. It can no longer be said that it is restricted only to India. Every part of our body can be rejuvenated by the use of Yoga. I did attend a few classes a few years ago and was regularly practicing Yoga until I met with that ghastly accident a few years that has restricted me from doing poses that need me to squat or twist my body including bending. I however do pranayama which is a breathing exercise and my famous Shavasana which is lying in bad as though I am dead and ordering every part of my body to relax. How close are you to Yoga?

I also do pranayama, and I do some Yoga poses (Half Lotus - Sun salutation - Camel - Triangle).

@allknowing My husband used to do Yoga seriously when he was young, he does the poses with me being sure I do them correctly.

Very close. It's been a part of my life for decades now and it doesn't only keep me sane but also has helped me dealing with my autoimmune disorder diabetes with minimum medical interventions.

@allknowing I can understand. Before Covid hit me, I could do 108 Surya Namaskar in one session. Now with knee pain and other restrictions as side effects of Covid, I am not able to bend my knees. Doing most asana on chair. I can sit in vajrasana but not in padmasana.

I'm doing lying in bed and ordering each part of my body to relax. It is very helpful in relieving stress and tension. I feel my whole body relax. But that is all I can do.

I find I can naturally do my own stretches and they resemble yoga and Tai Chi.

That was awful. I started doing yoga in 2006 and am still continuing doing it. I have done away with my sinus trouble and by arthritis and am much better health wise now. Yoga helps in maintaining your figure too.

have never tried Yoga in my life, but from what people showed me so far and dared me to copy, I think I am OK without it.

Why don't you try Shavasana It is just lying flat on the bed totally relaxed and then ordering every part of your body ( in your mind) one by one to relax.
