I went to my happy place yesterday.

I went to the hardware store. I wandered around for a bit after finding what I really needed to buy and I saw a lot of things that inspired me to start a new 'something' soon. I took a photo when we were on our way out.   I realized while writing this that hardware stores have become my Disneyland in the last few years. Growing up on a farm, my favorite place to be was in the field. Then there were bookstores, because I was a huge stationery fan in high school and all that bookstore stuff. I grew out of it, went to college, and the library quickly became my wonderland. And then it shifted into grocery stores cause I graduated at this point and was adulting and all that. Anyway, what are you or what were you doing today? It's 10pm here and it's raining. Thank goodness, what a relief. We hit 90°F earlier today and I saw on the news that some parts of the country were even hotter. Stay hydrated(or dry). Have a very nice day!

True that. Our kitchen in fact is due for another deep cleaning. I hope the rain comes sooner than expected. It shows 37°C at the moment.

@MGjhaud Cleaning isn't fun... It IS necessary, though. I hope it rains again for you, too. The forecast here is for rain to start Monday and to continue through the end of the week. But it's cold here, too.

I am so glad you love the hardware stores. In that case you would love the Home Depot stores here..they are so big Joy. You would never be bored. Here it snowed over night and is still snowing. I will cook today later.

If it weren't for my bad leg, I'd stay in it all day. I'm sure I'd enjoy Home Depot. The Philippines need snow. Oh my goodness! lol I hope dinner was great.

I injured my right one years ago. It's healed now but I can't do heavy lifting anymore or run or put too much weight on it.

I agree. I'm grateful I was able to enjoy, went to places, and try different things. I certainly can't now that my circumstances have changed.

We are so much a like. I am my dad's oldest child so I grew up a tom boy. I learned mechanics and how to work with tools. I love it.

I'd probably be a carpenter in another life. At one point, I considered learning woodworking but realized I wouldn't be able to lift the heavy wood and stuff. haha

@MGjhaud Yes, it is. Barnes and Noble even have couches, so if I got locked in, I could still get a good night's sleep. I doubt that would ever happen though.

Bookstores used to be my Disneyland too. One of best friends could live in a hardware store though, and she’d be perfectly happy!

My happy place is a bookstore or a library. When I was a kid, I loved toy stores. Saturday was a rainy day so no fun. Saturday was my best friend's birthday. I couldn't celebrate with her, but I did give the cats treats to celebrate.

Aw sorry you couldn't celebrate with your friend. I remember it being a sunny day here last Saturday. I stayed in bed all day cause I was still tired from my hardware trip the day before. I hope your week's going well.

Oh, I don't remember what I was thinking of doing at the time. This was a year ago. This was when we were renovating our house, which is now finished.
