Martha Ina Ingram who was a high school student at Jeffersonville High School in 1954 had lost her purse. Martha thought that she would never reunite with her purse after the incident. In a story that would make it to Ripley's Believe It Or Not, a construction crew was going to demolish the high school when the construction workers saw the missing purse inside the school. The identity of the owner of the purse as well as the items inside of the purse were intact when the construction workers used social media to ask if the owner of the purse was still alive. A relative of Martha who goes by the nickname Marty did inform the construction employee that Marty who is in her 80s is now living in Florida. The construction crew was able to locate the address of Marty and mail her purse back to her home. When Martha received her purse in the mail recently, she was happy that nothing that was inside of her purse was stolen. I have shared stories on this site of books returned to libraries as well as animals reuniting with their owners. This is the first time that a purse that was lost inside of a school classroom was returned to its owner 65 years later. Link is msn.com/en-us/news/cri...

It is very odd for a person to lose a purse over 60 years ago and getting it returned safe and sound.

It is rare for a lost purse to be reunited with her owner after 60 years and with nothing taken out of the purse.

I can imagine how exciting that was for her, to see what she had in her purse when she was young,

@Deepizzaguy That's really sad. When memories are attached to lost valuables it becomes more painful.
