25 April - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good evening. It's been a good day today. It's been sunny all day and in the 40s with a light breeze. They're still calling for rain tonight. We'll see. I woke up this morning with a bad headache that even Ibuprofen couldn't touch until I took a hot shower and let the hot water pound on my head. Then my headache let go and was gone within an hour. For which I'm very grateful. I'm thankful for the Bible study this morning. It is my friend's birthday today. She brought a carrot cake and a lemon raspberry kringle from one of the best bakeries in Green Bay. The Bible study was also very good. I'm thankful for the shopping trip I didn't need after Bible study. Mostly I went into Hy-Vee to get my steps, something easy to do with a store as large as that one. And yes, I came away from there with groceries. Not a lot, but it was good. I'm thankful for firming up the plans for my cousin's funeral this weekend. I talked to both my sister and brother. I will spend the night at my sister's on Friday night. The showing is Friday with a prayer service at seven. The funeral is Saturday morning with a luncheon to follow after the burial. It will be late afternoon on Saturday before I get home. It means I won't have the Daily Bible study until after I get home on Saturday. I'm thankful I have all my steps. I'm currently over 10K. When I got home I went on the trail. I took a longer portion of the trail to make certain I got all my steps. I'm thankful my books arrived. My neighbor was kind enough to bring the box on his walker to my apartment as the box is heavy. I need to go through the box and autograph the books before my friend picks them up on Thursday or Friday. That's the whole of my day. No time for my book again today. Tomorrow should be a better day for it. I only have the exercise class in the morning and Bible study in the community room in the afternoon. I'll also get my steps with the Bingo numbers unless someone has won today. If someone did, that will be posted. I have five numbers left on my card for a blackout. What are you thankful for today?
