I Went to Oscoda for About Three Hours Today

I hadn't been to Oscoda City Park, since February. This is like a wonderland, located right on the shoreline of Lake Huron. It's one of my favorite places to go, in the entire world.
Sitting in my vehicle I finished reading my books and then, dropped it off at the library. Of course, I got another book, to keep my overly active mind, healthy and busy. The new book is by another author, Joanne Fluke.
Her stories are quite different, but I still enjoy reading these murder/mystery stories that she pens. Also, she includes recipes throughout the book, usually some type of fancy dessert.
I don't fix desserts any more, because Jay is always wrestling to keep his weight down and I'm diabetic. I really don't care for desserts any longer.

Both my husband and I have sweet tooths. It would be hard to give up desserts. I'm glad you enjoy going to the Park.

Jay's entire family almost, has dealt with diabetes. He's on the way, for certain.

I was searching within myself, to figure out what needs to be changed. Memories of the past abuse can haunt a woman, spoiling her entire life. I'm all done with those hideous memories, I'd much rather forget about them!

@kobesbuddy I watched a video last night of a woman that was abused all her life from birth..it was heart breaking. But informative. Here it is if you are interested, if not don't bother Kharla.

At least you are smart about being diabetic. I never understand why my dad’s wife, who is also diabetic, continually makes desserts. She’s not a large woman, but she’s still diabetic. It worries me a tad. And my dad certainly doesn’t need to eat sweets with his weight what it is. I’m just one of those “worry warts” who needs to butt out!

You love your father and don't want him to suffer sickness, from eating trash that nobody needs!

Jay and I include dessert every day, but I certainly don't bake cakes, pies or cookies any longer.

I wasn't concerned when I had a prediabetic diagnosis. I thought this meant, not quite a diabetic. My doctor got mad, told me that it was a warning sign, of developing diabetes! Thus, I did end up with this disease.

We are on the eastern shoreline of Michigan. These cities are located along Lake Huron, which I love.
