Sleepless night

Cannot imagine that silly Peppie could give me a sleepless night two days ago. He had changed his schedule and that was disturbing. Normally I sleep well but wondered if Peppie would return at all and that thought kept my mind occupied the whole night two nights ago. He returned for his evening snack yesterday and he was back early in the morning today. On second thoughts I have better and bigger things to worry about and this little fellow doing that to me only shows how much I love that brat - probably one sided? . What about you? Do pets give you sleepless nights?

Oh glad he came home. No I have no pets. I do jolt awake because of noises..perhaps robbers here. My son caught one yesterday.

Yes, absolutely. It’s the price we pay for love.

I can write a book on the sacrifices I have made for our pets.

Not anymore. I tried not caring much about pets when I lost my dog a few years back, That was too painful for me that I tend to tear up whenever I remember. Now, I understand why people cry after losing a pet. Now, I simply give them enough food and water and check if they have settled down, and then go to sleep without checking on them again. I don't want to experience the same heartache with my pet cats.

My two are house cats so I do not worry about them not coming back in at night. I am glad Peppie came back. He sure was a cute kitten.

I did not sleep the past week when I noticed the cat of my neighbors limping and I knew they were not at home for 2 days. I was so glad when they came back and told me the vet said it was nothing serious.

That was such a relief. Peppie has not come for lunch but he had his fish. May be he will drop in any time now.

@allknowing Bubi came inside with Gevi as soon as I opened our door this morning at 5:30. I gave them breakfast, Gevi is now sleeping in HIS house, Bubi went to sleep in his home.

He was probably visiting a new girlfriend and not even thinking of you.

I do not mind him visiting girl friends as long as he has not found a second home (lol)

Look how tiny and cute Peppie looked then. I am sure that Peppie too loves you, but his way to show it might not be that evident. Glad that he is back. You can stay relaxed now

But he still goes out and for longer hours. I hope he has not found a second home!

@arunima25 Peppie was born here and so he is not a stray. There must be some reason why he does that as I do not think anyone around here are cat lovers.

@allknowing That's one issue with these stray cats. As long as he keeps visiting you, it should be okay. Hopefully, he gets good care and love elsewhere too.
