With technology at its peak a woman can freeze her eggs for future use specially when she has no intention to become a mother at a younger age but would want to may be later Priyanka Chopra a celebrity of Indian origin and married to a foreigner in her early forties but she froze her eggs in her earth thirties. She now has a baby girl. Priyanka however says the process is painful and expensive Would you go for it? You can read about it here
Egg freezing is the procedure of removing eggs from a woman's ovaries and storing them for later use when the woman feels ready for conception and pregnancy.

It is something I would have not done and I still think that kids need young parents, not "grand-parents" for parents.

You have a point there To what extent technology can be misused there is no end to that

@allknowing It has already been misused. Last week a 57 year old woman gave birth in Spain. Many are criticizing the fact that doctors are allowing this.

@LadyDuck There have been such cases here as well. And surrogacy is also becoming popular mostly among celebrities They do not want to spoil their figure and go through the hassle of pregnancy. .

I would not do it, and could not afford it. Usually, the reason people that I see do it is because they got cancer early in life, and they froze their eggs before they had treatment in case they wanted to have children in the future. If that had happened to me in my teens or twenties I probably would have wanted to do it, but it would have been way too expensive for me to succeed. I am very happy for people who can overcome obstacles that women would not have been able to beat many decades ago.

I would say it is meant for those who cannot produce due to health reasons but sadly wrong people opt for it.

I would not do it. Freezing may have side effects on the embryo which could only appear at a later time. I don't want to take that chance. There are always disadvantages when men interfere with the course of nature.

There is no limit to what extent science is interfering with nature. The bad effects of tampering with nature, as you say, will be known later in life.

Freezing eggs, and sperm, is sometimes done by cancer patients before chemo or radiation therapy because the cancer treatment may damage or destroy the eggs or the testes' ability to produce viable reproductive cells.

But this facility is totally misused. There was no reason for this woman about whom I have mentioned to use this facility. She is healthy.
