And here I am up early. Actually, I've been up since about 5 a.m. Sophie started to fuss because she really needed to go. Now, the pups have been out, had breakfast, and been back out for their after-breakfast romp. I'm sitting in my recliner enjoying a cup of coffee. K is still in bed. She had a long week at work. On top of that, she got her first Shingles Vaccine yesterday. I think it's hitting her harder than it did me when I got my first dose. I'll let her sleep as long as she wants. For the first time in a long time, we aren't going anywhere and don't have any plans for the weekend. Getting some housework done and relaxing is the extent of our agenda. What are your plans for the weekend?

I need to go through my closet. I have shirts in there I haven't worn in years. Some I probably never will now that I'm retiring.

@wolfgirl569 I've had the same closet for almost 29 years now. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the shirts have been in there that long.

We’re having a golf tournament, so as soon as I annoy y’all with a song I’m off to the course. Have a great, relaxed weekend. Doing nothing on a weekend, or not going anywhere, is a perfectly acceptable way to spend it.

@DWDavis — miniature golf. Just as frustrating as the real thing.

@FourWalls I enjoy a good game of miniature golf now and then, but I am definitely not tournament-level.

I didn't realize you were a golfer. I tried golf years ago. Decided I preferred fishing.

We've been out and about today with a bit more out-and-abouting still to go. Then tomorrow we fly home.

Flying home already. It seems like you just got there. I hope you have an uneventful flight. How long will you be in transit?

@DWDavis It's a good 24 hours I think. We fly to Dubai, have a two-hour stopover to change planes then fly to Perth, arriving 5pm West Aust time on Monday.

I gave up trying to sleep and got up a little after six, this morning. After feeding the cats, it was time to enjoy a big cup of tea. I think that is the pace for the rest of the weekend!

My pace, except for a two-mile walk with K and Sophie, has been about the same. I've alternated between relaxing and working on my writing.

I will be working on my latest manuscript later, but that is something I can do at home.

@nela13 The manuscript I printed out this morning for my primary beta reader is a story about a ghost who haunts a swimming pool in which she drowned many years earlier because she is waiting for the boy she loved to come back and make things right between them. The second is a story about the eleven-year-old scion of a rich family who meets the former princess of a small European country after her father abdicates the throne and moves the family to America.

My dad and his wife were down a good 48 hours after they got their shingles vaccine. They were not expecting it all the first time so the second time around they expected it. I’m meeting up with a friend this weekend for lunch and a movie. I always enjoy getting to see her.

I felt crummy for a day or two after the first Shingles vaccine. I haven't had the second dose yet. Probably in June when I visit my doctor.
