I hope rain means morels / myLot

It’s a rainy weekend here. And it rained Friday too. And more rain in the forecast. I hope that means morels are here. I saw a video that Gwen Stefani posted on IG. It was of her and Blake Shelton foraging for morels. There were lots of them. But I’m assuming that was in Oklahoma. I live in NYC. I’ve never actually seen morels here. My mom found one once. At a park where we live. It was growing among Lily of the Valley flowers. When I went there I did not see any.

I wonder if there are any to be found nearby you then Lena or you would have to go far out to find some.

I wish stores would sell them. But they’d be pricey. Whole Foods sells dried ones for 299$ per pound. No way!

I live in Oklahoma, and I’m familiar with the town Blake Shelton lives in. But I’ve never been hunting for them. Although if Blake and Gwen were leading the way I’d probably go.

My mom got so excited when I showed her Gwen’s video. She even called her friend who forages for mushrooms and told her about it. She got excited too. Of course OK too far from NYC.
