How I spent my Sunday afternoon. Did you have a good Sunday? Did I make the right choice?

As you know, I had a chance to go to a bash tonight in LA. It's Willie Nelson's 90th Birthday. But I chose to lay low. Instead, I went to the pool with my mandolin and practiced every mandolin song I know. I did not jump in the pool, as the water is freezing and it was only about 69 F out. But I did maximize the solar exposure to my right side, and minimize the exposure to my left side, the side which is in the sun when I drive my truck with the window down. My friends are probably looking for a parking space right now at the Hollywood Bowl, wondering if they'll enjoy a bunch of other people playing music. I can lie on my bed and play some guitar for Kitty and maybe watch another movie before I sleep. Do you think I made the right choice? I am actually rooting for my friends. Maybe the music will be great and they'll get to jam with Lyle Lovett and Willie Nelson into the wee hours. But my hunch is that they'll be pooped tomorrow evening, while I'll be ready for a busy Tuesday. Buwaahaahaa! Unless I'm wrong.

Willie Nelson is one tough hombre. I keep waiting for his line of CBD treats for pets to come out. I figure if any brand would be effective it would be his.

At times, choices could be suitable for a time. Making them out as right or wrong is rather difficult to say. The way you sat at the Pool is quite an interesting one. Did Kitty enjoy the guitar?

If you expect to be busy the next day, then your choice is right. Having fun on one day and having the next day go awry is enough trouble for anyone. You could always view the replays online. I hope so,

I can understand the excitement. I mean, Willie only turns 90 once (well, until 100 years from now, when he turns 190). But yes, I would have taken your route and stayed in a calmer environment. And you never know if Willie would have shared any of his pot with you, so….

@TheHorse - When friends used to tell me "you do not know what you missed", I always replied that I missed nothing because I did what I wanted to do.

My finger is fine and the music was to my liking. I have back problems and did not want to be stuck in a car that long (12 or more hours total).

I think you made the right choice. I had a nice relaxing Sunday. I watched two movies. One with Charlton Heston and the other with the Duke. Both, I've never seen before and were good. You can't go wrong with either of those actors.

Actually, I think you were right to avoid the long drive and those huge crowds. Besides as I said most likely at least some of the concert will be on YouTube And here is some of it
