We have tart cherries and they cannot be eaten unless they are used for making juice. Tart cherries are supposed to be good for health. But when it comes to cherries one will go for the sweet cherries I have eaten sweet cherries but where I live now we do not get them. It is beyond belief that there are 1200 types of cherries each with their own characteristics I did have a tree with cherries that were known as Swiss cherries They were not red but quite sweet. When was the last time you had cherries? Image credit:

Swiss cherries are not my favorite, my favorite are the Bing and the Sweetheart. The last time it was last year at the end of July. I see the trees are covered with cherries right now, I think in 10 days we are going to have the new cherries.
