Are there any reasons and benefits to daily Bible reading? I think there are many and would like to know what others think. Daily we eat, brush our teeth, wash, exercise and do many other things. Why not include Bible reading into our daily routine, even if it's reading just one verse. Now how long does that take? Best to make our own schedule and it's all good. Many people pray every day and tell God about what concerns them, then it's logical to see what God wants to tell us every day. The Bible itself encourages us to read it daily. (See Joshua 1:8; Psalms 1:2; Matthew 4:4)

Yes and the world can be quite dark at times. The hope the Bible gives can be like the sun at noontime.

I think everyone, if they would just be open, could find something of interest in such a good book.

I think so too! I found this quotation which is interesting. “The Bible is the best book in the world. It contains more ...than all the libraries I have seen.”(John Adams)

So true! You echo the words of American surgeon Charles W. Mayo who stated that “In sickness or in health, one can find comfort and constructive advice in the Bible.”

The bible is very beneficial to read, especially the King James Version. It is the word of God that we must study to gain spiritual knowledge.

Hi Mark! Welcome to myLot! Yes, reading the Bible is beneficial. Can you tell us a bit of how you go about it? I read a couple of chapters every day. On January the first I start at Genesis chapter 1 and I finish it on December 31st.
