Suppressive Person

I have been watching channels on YouTube about Scientology. I am such a curious person I really like to delve into some rather dark topics. I believe in justice and that everything has its good aspects. Scientology(or Sci) is a cult that was founded by L. Ron Hubbard back in the early 50s. They have policies that must be adhered to and they are taught how to lie to the "wog"(outside world)world. Sci people are taught that if something happens to them it is their own fault. If a woman is raped it's because she has something within herself that has caused this to happen to them. What did she do to have this happen to her? If someone has an illness there are similar beliefs. They are not sent to a hospital. They do not believe in any kind of psychiatry either. When people get old they are put in residential homes they go to and they stay there until they die. Some old people have been made to apply to banks for credit cards and then the Sci organization uses these cards fraudulently after they are dead. Money and keeping the secrets of Scientology are all important. When a Sci person decides they don't want to be a member anymore they are put into a program to bring them back into the flock by being isolated and reprogrammed which sometimes takes years. If someone "blows"(leaves Scientology secretly) they are declared a "suppressive person" and any of their family permanently disconnects from them. Husbands, wives, children, and grandparents can no longer communicate with the SP. If the SP was a higher-up in the organization then a secretive department, OSA(Office of Special Affairs), will start an action called "Fair Game" which means they will have private investigators stock them or even worse. They will find what means the most to the SP and will use this to make the SP's life as horrible as possible. Say they have a business the OSA might write letters to the SP's clients and tell them lies. OSA/Scientology spends millions of dollars on this endeavor because these SPs know too many secrets that could hurt Scientology. There are about thirty SPs who have started doing videos on YouTube. They are telling the truth about Scientology and some of the horror stories about ex-Scientologists who have left and what has happened to them. They are doing this for one very noble cause. When they left Scientology they left friends and family behind. They want these people to know they have options if they want to leave. They have started a non-profit organization called The Aftermath Foundation that helps SPs. They don't try to maneuver them into leaving. They ask them if they are ready to leave, what they need, and what help they need to leave. These people help them get driver's licenses, learn to drive, get a place, get a job, etc. There is an excellent documentary about the structure of Scientology called Going Clear and I am sharing the link to it below in case any of you want to learn more:

Few years ago I come across with this topic on Youtube and decided to watch, while watching they talk about some few hollywood actors being associated I don't remember the name anymore. It was indeed weird for me how they were put once they wants to dissociates from them. In conclusion I assume they are also some kind of another extreme religion where activist suppress and goes aggressive to the followers

They aren't a religion but more of a self-help institution. They say they are so they can get away with not paying taxes.

Thanks so much for this informative post. I knew some things about Scientology; but you have added to that knowledge. As I mentioned before, I tried to get through L. Ron Hubbard's book; but it was too much. Wishing you a Happy Monday!
