My offline contacts are dwindling in number

Be it family, classmates, neighbours, colleagues and even friends they are all buried in their own pursuits just like me perhaps and so have no time to interact
No visits, no emails, no messaging, no chat no nothing
How can I blame them when I have done the same. I have enough on my plate to keep me happily occupied and my online interactions could be blamed for it
Here I am on myLot and a couple of other Sites where I am enjoying the interaction.
I get a pat on my back when I talk about my pets, my garden, my reaching out, my photography and other activities while offline guys are not interested.
What's your story?

That is not the case with me. It is just that we all are into activities that do not interest each other. There is not a single contact of mine is here for example.

Not 1 of my real world friends spends time on the internet, most not even on facebook.

I definitely want to keep myself invested in a few friendships offline, as I don't want to neglect the people around me who love and care about me. I would be speaking about two friendships in particular, as well as those in my immediate family. I enjoy spending time with them, and when I can't, we will always text each other. But my relationships on mylot are certainly important too. I love that we are interested in each other's lives, and we care to listen. I hope I can have a healthy dose of both. However, that doesn't work best for everyone, and what works for you is important as well. You deserve to be paid attention to. You are happy, and that's wonderful!

I said they are dwindling and that means I still keep in touch with a few. Actually I am a people's person but circumstances have changed me somewhat.

@allknowing Certainly! After all, you want quality over quantity.

Ahh yes if we talked to someone in person about all the things we talk about here they might get bored with it. Here we have people who don’t live in our state and country so we learn so many things from each other. We don’t have a lot of the plants you have written about.

It is sad that visitors kind of wear blinkers. There is so much to see in the garden but online I have so many that appreciate when I talk about it.

@allknowing Indeed you are. It is fine for me to have very little outside contact anyway. Online is great.

I do too but considering the number of contacts I had in the good old days they are not there any more

Yes, everybody is busy with their lives, and that's okay.
