Essence of happiness

I have always believed that it is not how much one has but what one makes of what one has is the route to happiness.
I also believe that everyone has the right to be happy no matter what one's station in life is. Setting goals to go higher and higher in life is what most believe can give them happiness. .
The essence of happiness has nothing to do with how rich one is but sometimes to see a flower bloom can give one as much happiness as one owning a 27 story mansion.
You can have a look at the inside of that mansion
Blessed is the one who can derive happiness in small things.

That's true happiness does not depend on material things. I believe that happiness is a state of the mind. A person can choose to be happy or not. To be able to do that the person must learn how to appreciate simple, little things. That's the first step toward happiness.

@LadyDuck That visitor that came to see me and who talked about someone else's garden walked in grumbling about the heat. She pulled one of the sofas and she sat right under the fan. I never let visitors do that She is wealthy and lately she has spent on imported furniture Her house is loaded with lead crystal crockery and yet she is not happy.

I always believe that contentment is the key to happiness.

Ah, I aggree!
I fortunately can be happy easily. Such as, I love lunch time, so I get happy when the clock shows us it's time to have a lunch (and a break if i'm in the office)
I'm happy when I don't have to wait for public transportation for too long
I'm happy when I get a chance to have a chit chat with others.
