What's for dinner? 5.12.2023

I meant to post this last night, but forgot about it. Lol. Last night I made shepard's pie. But made it a little differently. I actually did homemade mashed potatoes right before I cooked. Usually I use previously homemade mashed potatoes and then freeze them or use instant mashed potatoes. But I had extra time yeserday. I also put bacon in the potaotes. Which I don't usually do. So it was hamburger meat, creamed corn, mashed potaotes with extra butter and bacon, then cheese on top. I also made yeast rolls. It was freaking delicious, and the dogs really appreciated the leftovers.

I make shepherd's pie but don't put corn in mine but do put canned tomatoes in it. Pretty and I both like it.

I just have never liked a Shepherd's Pie. But maybe I'm just not trying the right one? Because so many people love the dish.

A lot of people make it a lot of different ways. I usually just do the corn, potatoes and meat and cheese. But I wanted to do it a little more.

@TheSojourner Chinese pie? I don't think I've heard of that. Chris' family has a taco bake recipe. And that's the closest thing in name to what you said.
