In the forests of Tibet it is not safe to travel in open jeeps.

In the forests of Tibet it is a common feature that there is strong fog and mist. The fog and the mist looks like a strong blanket. In the forests there are rhododendron and pine trees which are very tall. At such a height of above 8000 feet with low visibility it is not safe to roam around in open jeeps. Whenever I used to get down to have a snap my driver warned me that if any brown bear appears he will start driving and I have to jump in the moving jeep.

If you were pestering the driver with too many questions, he might not have started off driving slowly so you could jump back into the jeep. There have been heavy fogs where I live in the early mornings. I couldn't even see the street in front of our house yesterday or today. I could hear vehicles driving down the street but even their lights were very dim.

Such a beautiful picture, May I know who are the people in the photograph? You all look happy. That's frightening. A bear, I would rather inside the jeep all the time than risk being left behind.

I can imagine your driver turning into a superhero, ready to zoom away at the sight of a brown bear while you have to channel your inner action movie star and jump into a moving jeep! Talk about adrenaline-fueled sightseeing!
