When something happens that makes you sad, what is better for you, to cry until you stop, or to calm yourself down, so you don't cry anymore?
When my husband died, I had lots of different emotions, crying, anger, etc.
But there were many things that had to be taken care of. So instead of crying it out, I calmed myself down.
What is better for you?

I try not to cry it out because when I do I often get a cold and start to cough, so it is not healthy for me to cry too much.

@lifecoachjerusalem Yeah, if you get a cold that easily, then it's better not to cry it out.
Some people look at men weird if we cry about anything... I think that's stupid. Men have the same feelings women have..

I'm usually not the crier . . . although a good cry would make me let all the emotions come out for the moment (I just can't do it these days). I don't know if I'm really calm though. I tend to get fired up and get very productive/active to keep my mind off strong emotions.

I don't cry most of the time, but when I think back to the past, I cry
