In Bhutan the airport is situated on foot hill so a good task for flights.

It is known to everyone that flights require a long runway. They run for that distance and then pick up speed and take off. But in case of Bhutan there is huge Himalayan mountain range. The airport in the capital city in Thimphu has a small runway. Flights which operate there are used to taking lesser run and just taking off and reaching height without striking the hills.

The pilots HOPE they can take off without striking the hills. I wouldn't be on one of those flights.

thanks Danna. Actually they dont have choice. That much of flat level land is not available in the hilly country. So they make the best use of the resources.
