Pride of Solitaire - a memory / myLot

There was a time we had many rose plants and they were all doing well. And some of you know unless they are pampered on a regular basis they will stay put and not yield. We were not able to pamper them and so we lost them all one by one While they were riding the crest this one plant produced a few beautiful red roses and what you see in the photo was one of them. It deserved to be called the pride of Solitaire The rose had dense petals and the rose lasted for many days on the plant. I am glad I captured it in my camera and occasionally open my digital photo folder and admire what it was not so long ago. Any memory you wish to share?

In our village house, my father made a special place. It was a big area of grass, about 40 feet by 40 feet, with beautiful rose plants, Jasmine, and Night Blooming Jasmine all around. When we sat there, the air smelled amazing! I will always remember that wonderful scent. It's a memory that will stay with me forever. I wish I had a picture of that moment, but even a camera can't capture the true feeling and importance of such a special memory.

I have "spontaneous" roses that bloom in my garden. The bush is not where I would have planted roses, but those are the wealthier roses I ever had. This is a photo I took one morning after a rainy night.
