A friend of mine called in yesterday and told me that she called the cops on a guy for stealing her phone charger and breaking into her house to beat her up then she called the cops on the guy Most people kept saying that phone charger was a small case to let the cops get involved in it I was so confident to tell her (well done ) cause no one beats up someone for his or her properties What's your opinion did she go extreme ?

No, she should press charges for being beaten aside from the theft charges. Who knows what he would do next if she didn't report him? A violent guy is always a menace to society and to anyone. He can do it again.

Nope, she didn't. Even little crimes have to be reported so that the doer is not encouraged to do it again. Else he might commit something big in future. And this fellow beat your friend up and that's scary and not acceptable at all.

@Laurakemunto If not corrected in right time, many go bolder and commit bigger crimes. It's rightly said that nip them at budding stage.

Very true that's when we say no crime is big or small it's all crime hence reporting is the right thing to do

Did those people not hear that the guy beat your friend up? Why are they fixating on the charger? How awful.

She must file a case against the man for physically abusing her and for stealing her thing.
