Flowers of May

Philippines
May 30, 2023 1:47pm CST
Few months ago my aunt agreed to participate in this pageant looking parade festival like that celebrates mama mary. Most of the participants were either young kids or teenagers. She's the only senior who joined. But then history stated that the first participant was an old lady. She liked her red dress, but the road wasn't that long and it was hot even though it's already late in the afternoon. She had fun and every one there was shocked when they saw her.

Haven't seen this celebration for a long time. I remember my sister when she was young was a participant of it too and she was dressed in white and had a bouquet of flower.

The participants in our parish were also old ladies. That was already the practice for about two decades now. I remember before, they got young ladies.

I have to admit, there are times that she can be seriously childish @allknowing

I saw older women at our parish's Flores de Mayo too and I thought that was really cool. I would even want to see the elderly joining the procession !
