The "thing" the child did...

There's this one little guy in class (I'm guessing he's about three?) who's a real handful. He doesn't listen to things like when the teachers tell him to get his feet off of the furniture, goofs off when he's supposed to be napping, and throws huge fits when told to do something he doesn't want to and the rules are enforced.
Today, this little dude was with a bunch of kids who had finished breakfast and am going outside. What does he do before he gets to the door?
He pulls the fire alarm.
So of course the alarm goes off, and the teachers are all going, "What do we do?" and I think it was my boss who said, "Let's just have a fire drill."
That's what we did. The little dude is ornery and exasperating, but I just had to laugh. On the way back to the classroom I told him, "Thank you, I haven't had the chance to do a fire drill yet. "

It is quite difficult to be a 3 year old and do what grown ups want.
I was about 15 when I stopped reading with my feet on the furniture. And I played sirens with my sister (my idea) swimming on the floor. I don´t want to imagine how those clothes came out. And my mom did not have a washing machine then. I hadn´t remembered all this until I read your post. You made my day

Yeah, that is weird. I wonder if it has happened before.

@xstitcher The fire alarm shouldn’t be where a little child can reach it.

As @RubyHawk wondered, so do I: why is a fire alarm low enough for a 3yr old to pull? Or is this kid exceptionally tall for his age? Good luck with "Denis"

From what I've seen of him, I'm leaning toward monster....

Some children just like to touch things that they are not supposed to due to their curiosity and innocence.

True, although I'm not sure how innocent this little dude is.
