Harvested a few more mangoes

Few at a time was a good thing as we could keep them for us rather than find a buyer. We distributed a few and this lot I wanted to give to my friend who was here recently.
She is settled down in the US and each time she visits me she brings me a box of Ferrero Rocher chocolates. She did not read my message nor pick the phone and so she could not come and pick them up. She is back in the US and writes to say she only saw the message now and feels sorry she missed getting those. Not my fault
There are a few more in the basket that have not fully ripened. I will be making juice and also some jam.
It would have given me joy if my friend got those mangoes. Giving gives me joy.

at least you'll have some tasty treats out of it. Maybe next time, your friend will have better luck reading messages and answering the phone. Mango adventures never cease!

Good to see you
Yes. It is her bad luck. Mangoes that are ripened this way are natural unlike what one gets in stores.

I do not understand how they go about attending to messages and calls.

That's too bad as it was still not time for her to return.

The mangoes look completely ripe. They might be sweet too. I am buying mine here in Kolkata.

And she deprived me of that joy. I had invited her to come over and enjoy some which she did but these are a different variety and she was longing to get some. At that time they were not ready.

These mangoes look attractive. I am not sure whether the fruits can be brought to USA as some countries have strict rules to them, such as Australia. They are afraid foreign fruits will bring some worms and they will be harmful to the local fruits.

Mangoes are my favorite. I use to eat green mangoes a lot when I was a teen. But now I can't because I have anemia. I can only eat half ripened or fully-ripened mangoes.
