I finally did not thaw the chicken.

I got out the pork steaks to eat with Leticia.
I know that she eats more chicken than other meat as it is cheaper. So I wanted a treat for her and for me.
Besides, if I roast a whole chicken for 2 people I will be eating chicken for the whole week.
So it went back to the freezer before it was thawed and the pork stakes came out.
I will make the coleslaw and will ask Leticia whether she wants rice or potatoes. I might even offer her Duchesse potatoes. I can bake them in the oven with some olive oil.
I´m looking forward to seeing Leticia tomorrow.

When I had a fire in my kitchen, my family decided that I was in no condition (mentally?) to take care of myself.

I´m sure it will be. Here, pork is almost as twice as expensive as chicken and she has a large family. So she must not eat it often.

@marguicha It costs more here too. But pork is cheaper than beef in my area. So we have been eating a little more of it.

@marguicha We do not eat pork, beef is too expensive, it's chicken or fish. Tonight is fish.
