Thanks to two concerned citizens who were boating down the New River in Radford City Virginia who saw a dog whose gender was not mentioned struggling to stay afloat. The persons who saw the dog in the river called the Radford City Police Department to ask them for help in rescuing the dog. The police teamed up with the Radford City Fire Department on Thursday to use a rescue boat to get the dog out of the New River. The dog who was tired and close to passing away was likely taken by the firefighters to a local animal shelter to be taken care of and hopefully reunite with his or her owner. How the dog wound in the river is not known at this time. Link is abc3340.com/news/offbeat/offbeat/0p...

Wow, I'm glad to hear that, their work is very good. Likewise here the firefighters also work very well, he also wants to help residents whose houses have been entered by snakes. The snake was caught and taken away. Good job!

@Deepizzaguy Here the snakes are not exterminated, but they are caught alive and then taken away. I don't know what happened to the snake anymore.

Some owners throw a dog into the river, if they don't want it any longer! People are very mean:(

Poor doggy so glad he got rescued. If his owner threw him in there he does not deserve to get him back,

I agree with you that if the owner threw the dog into the water, he does not deserve to own a dog again.

@Deepizzaguy If not, the dog might be sent to the pound.

@Deepizzaguy When we have pets we have to guard them for they can rarely seek help when in danger.

That is so upsetting. I'm glad the people called the police department and that the fire department was able to rescue the dog.
